Snoezelen
Our Snoezelen Multi Sensory Environment incorporates a specialized selection of sensory equipment and materials that may help clients adapt their responses to sensory stimulation and to advance education and therapy goals. Each Snoezelen is tailored to meet the needs of specific individuals according to age and ability. The blend of sights, sounds, textures, aromas, and motion provide stimulation of the primary sensory systems and may be modified to meet the needs of each individual.

A Snoezelen is designed to offer individuals with additional needs the opportunity to exercise choice through action. These safe, non-threatening environments bridge cognitive, perceptual, behavioural, and physical impairments, as well as other limiting conditions to provide a sense of empowerment. This environment will allow clients to enjoy a wide range of sensory experiences, either passively or actively, that enhance therapy, learning, and relaxation. In a Multi Sensory environment, clients choose the experiences that give them the most pleasure.  Clients interact freely with the different components to create positive environments, control the level of sensory stimuli, adapt responses to sensory stimulation, experience easier transition to task, and perform and behave in a more functional manner.
