Your itinerary includes some of the finest courses our country has to offer. A brief summary of each course is outlined below:
Day 1 -
Gleneagles
The three courses at Gleneagles are blessed with surroundings of awe-inspiring beauty reflecting a truly highland landscape. The Kings and Queens courses were both designed by James Braid (a five times Open winner). When Lee Trevino first played Gleneagles he memorably remarked "If heaven is as good as this, I sure hope they have some tee times left". Jack Nicklaus designed the PGA Centenary Course, which is set to host the 2014 Ryder Cup.
Day 2 -
Muirfield
Considered harder to access than Fort Knox! This is the ultimate exclusive golf links. Many professionals regard it as their favourite Open Championship venue. If we manage to acquire that elusive golf time you are set up for a terrific golfing experience and the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers are excellent hosts. Muirfield insists upon a letter of introduction from your golf club verifying your handicap. 6466yds sss 71
Day 3 -
Nairn
(Inverness) - A real testing traditional links whose respected status in the world of golf is reflected by the fact that it was selected to host the Walker Cup in 1999. An excellent clubhouse and friendly staff match the quality of the course.
Day 4 -
Old Course, St Andrews (allocated times)
It is essential for all keen golfers to make a pilgrimage to play this fine old links at least once in their life. To play the course you must possess handicap certification and a maximum handicap of 24 for Gents and 36 for Ladies. We can offer you secured guaranteed tee times which are sold as a package that includes a round on the Old and New Course.
Day 5 -
Royal Troon
Established 1878 but not on the Open circuit until 1923. It is now a regular and popular venue. Its many renowned golf holes include 'the postage stamp', famous the world over. The Portland course is included in the green fees.
